Welcome

Welcome to the Payamino Project website. The Payamino Project is a community based project started by the Amazonian Kichwa community of San Jose de Payamino in order to create sustainable development in the community and preserve the forest and culture. The community located in the Ecuadorian Amazon in the Orellana Province. The community lands stretches from the foothills of the Sumaco Volcano to the Amazon lowlands along the Payamino River

Tourism

A tour to San Jose de Payamino will allow you to see real life of an indigenous Amazonian community, working to conserve some of the finest primary lowland rainforest in Ecuador. Tours can be made to measure depending on your requirements, but we normally would recommend a 4 night/5 day tour. We can run tours with a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 12, guided by Payamino Runas, experts at survival in the jungle and masters of their territory.
